Looks nice, though tall for under cabinetry, and the thermal carafe is a good feature.
Negative Product Points
The basket is far too small for 12 cups of coffee. We experimented making as little as 8 cups of coffee, and though we did not have any disasters with grounds, it still ended up making a weak, disappointing cup.
Detailed Commentary
We bought this coffee maker after breaking the carafe from our last drip machine. We were initially excited to see that there was a thermal coffee maker that had a 12 cup capacity. Each coffee making experience with this machine was disappointing. The basket looked much smaller than our Krups one, and possibly contributed to the weakness of the brew, and we had a few overflow issues with the grounds the first few times making coffee. With each try, we experimented with different grinds to coax some flavor into our coffee. No luck. We are finally returning this to place of purchase, after a call to Cuisinart to complain about this product.
As a side bar, we purchase a gold filter online that broke after the first wash- the gold mesh popped out from the plastic support frame.
Buying Experience
Buying the coffee maker at the store was fine. Buying the filter online was fine.
