A 12 cup thermal that gets the temp right without breaking the bank.
Positive Product Points
One of the few 12 cup thermals out there. Proper brew temps produce a full flavored cup of coffee. Good thermal carafe. Durable in my experience. Programmable if you want to.
Negative Product Points
It does have some quirks. The pour through lid needs to be aligned properly before tightening or it can cross thread. Not difficult but If you are all thumbs I guess it could be an issue. It's not equipped with a filter so you need to use filtered water. I use a tap filter so it's not an issue for me. The old one had a pretty loud beeper at the end of the brew cycle. The new one seems to be about half as loud. Unit is pretty tall so probably not for under cabinet use.
Detailed Commentary
I owned one of these for ten years before it finally quit. Consistent 195 degree brew temps for it's life. To replace it I tried a Cuisinart Extreme Brew 1400 watt unit from Williams-Sonoma that would only produce 182 degree water. Bought another 975 locally to avoid a shipping wait. This one is producing 200 degree brew temps at 1000 watts. Hopefully for another ten years. For a relatively inexpensive plastic machine it delivers the goods and holds up as well. The thermal carafe has a pour through lid that does not require opening to pour and keeps the coffee hot for hours and drinkably warm (if you don't use cream) all day.
