Negative Product Points
Leaks at times, must let cool down completely before cleaning the machine as it burns your hands, which could take about an hour after shut off. Clock is hard to read if not impossible. Doesn't fit thermal mugs underneath unless you slide the bottom out. There is a daily puddle of water? coffee? both? in the back of the machine.
Detailed Commentary
We replaced our Hamilton Beach Brewstation with this one because we like the no carafe premise and we can truly say we gave Hamilton Beach more than the old college try - we went through three of those. We got fed up and my husband found this one on Amazon. We are dedicated coffee drinkers so we need a machine that can stand up to 2 or 3 daily cycles of coffee making. So far, this machine has performed as expected. You can program it to stay on for 4 hours and I have to say that even after it shuts off, the coffee stays very hot for at least another hour. I am not sure why there is a puddle every day in the back of the machine, and after reading other reviews, I am now afraid the unit might short out. I will be even more diligent in wiping up spills.
