I wanted something that grinded and brewed so badly.. but this machine didn't grind the coffee finely enough for an adequately strong cup of coffe. I was forced to use 50% more coffee every time. The worst thing: it also occassionally opened up as it was sending the ground coffee into the filter thus sprayed coffee grounds all over the kitchen.... not really what one wants in a coffee-maker.
I sold it at a yard sale for 10 bucks and went back to my aged Braun... 12 years and still dripping fine.
