Probably not worth paying extra if you must pay US exchange on top of price, but I‘m pleased with it.
Positive Product Points
Product design is very good. Thermal carafe keeps coffee very hot. Gold filter and swing out door are great features. Manual is well written with words and pictures carefully explaining everything. Frother is very simple to use. Brews very quickly.
Negative Product Points
Carafe cannot be immersed in water according to an "addendum" included in manual. Frother does not produce as much froth as expected, but it is still frothy.
Detailed Commentary
At time of purchase (January 2000) this product was not available by retail in Canada, so I ordered it from www.mercata.com for US$179. I am told that Capresso now sells through Second Cup.
