I bought my first Bunn two years ago, before the first recall. It worked great and then they recalled it because of the danger of fire. I was given my choice of shipping it back for repair or paying around $50.00 for a new one. I paid for a new one. When it arrived and I opened the box, the unit had a distinct rattling sound coming from inside the reservoir. I called them, sent that one back, and they sent me another one.
Guess what/? Now that one is being recalled because it can catch on fire, too.
That was too much for me. I was reluctant to buy one in the first place because it was always on. Two recalls have convinced me that they are unsafe. I will never buy another one.
