Vetrano 2B - On the Threshold of an Espresso lovers dream - (Sorry for the Moody Blues takeoff couldnt resist)
Positive Product Points
Pulls great shots, dual boiler, extremely quiet pump, visually pleasing, both direct plumb and stand alone water
Negative Product Points
This machine was purchased as an upgrade from my Andreja Premium w/ PID that I got about seven years ago which is now my daughters machine. It is truly a step up from the Andreja which was excellent to start with.
1: The dual boiler is great for producing a great "pull" while steaming milk for Latte (this requires 20amp receptacle).
2: LOVE the rotary pump. Again there was nothing bad about the vibratory on the Premium but this is a considerably quieter action
3: The shots are great (after about six or so to get the grind adjusted to the roast on the new grinder) not bitter, not burnt but nice mellow taste
The machine is great and the only thing that had kept me away from it before was the fact that the prior Vetrano model required a direct connect water hookup (no reservoir). Getting the reservoir incorporated into this machine opened the door for me to buy it. After a recent kitchen remodel I have both the 20 amp receptacle and the direct plumb filtered water which allows this machine to work in its best configuration. (It is great though that you can run with a 15 amp plug - it just alternated between boilers)
I cant believe it could get better than this in a non-commecial machine
Top notch - Pre-ordered Chris' Coffee Service and got it in the advertised "availability" (I think one of the first )
