Larry Holt (quality: 8.0) 12.08.2007 Rating: 3.2
Bottom Line: Good beginner machine... You shouldn't pay over $200 for it... Decent machine to hone your skills with...
Yegor Timofeyenko (quality: 6.0) 06.22.2004 Rating: 4.2
Bottom Line: If Silvia's expresso quality is worth 500 dollars, then I would say that Barsta's expresso quality is worth 150 (Yeah! There is that much difference!!!) . People, Please, DON'T BUY the BARISTA
Mark D (quality: 3.0) 02.25.2009 Rating: 5.0
Bottom Line: Save your money and buy a Gaggia
Dean Deaver 04.23.2008 Rating: 5.2
Bottom Line: It's been an okay machine.  Average at best.  It's okay for the price, but I'm looking to upgrade now.
Brian Rose 01.14.2006 Rating: 5.4
Bottom Line: For the money, I guess it will do.  But don't expect anything more than adequate espresso.
Bob Butler 06.14.2001 Rating: 5.6
Bottom Line: I had alot of problems
Mark 01.22.2001 Rating: 6.0
Bottom Line: I  will shop for a different brand next time. The functions were O.K., but I think I can find a machine which lasts for more than 2 yrs for the price.
Will Taylor (quality: 7.5) 09.20.2002 Rating: 6.2
Bottom Line: This is a decent machine, but you could get a Rancilio Silvia for a little more.
Tim W (quality: 6.0) 03.01.2005 Rating: 6.2
Bottom Line: Great starter machine or for small kitchens
R Saiers (quality: 3.0) 08.08.2006 Rating: 6.2
Bottom Line: Not bad as an entry-level machine for producing okay espresso. But for the price, try the Saeco Aroma, which features 15 bars rather than the Barista's 8-12 bars of pressure.
Kevin Bailey (quality: 8.0) 09.26.2009 Rating: 6.4
Bottom Line: This is definitely a BEGINNER machine. A good grinder will do leaps and bounds for the overall product this puts out (as it does any machine). Treat yourself to a Silvia instead.
Jeff Miller (quality: 4.0) 01.10.2003 Rating: 6.4
Bottom Line: A good starter machine that will quickly make you want to buy an auto.
Dan (quality: 1.0) 11.12.2001 Rating: 6.4
Bottom Line: good, but don?t buy a painted one.
Larry Morrison (quality: 2.0) 01.15.2004 Rating: 6.4
Bottom Line: Not a bad entry level machine.
Willi Mazereeuw (quality: 2.0) 11.26.2006 Rating: 6.6
Bottom Line: sorry I bought this machine
Jared . (quality: 7.8) 06.28.2005 Rating: 6.8
Bottom Line: If you're going to buy this machine, buy it on sale and DON'T use the stock PPF!!! - Take the valve out or purchase a non-pressurized portafilter from Saeco.  It will be worthwhile to spend a bit of extra money and get a better machine to start out with.
Rick Hiebert (quality: 2.0) 01.28.2008 Rating: 6.8
Bottom Line: Be prepared for repair bills
Mark Kunitomi 01.18.2010 Rating: 7.0
Bottom Line: Great machine to learn how to make espresso. Get one used.
Colin Newell (quality: 5.0) 01.12.2002 Rating: 7.0
Bottom Line: Great for the beginner but not for the serious espresso hound.
Chris Wyser-Pratte 03.20.2000 Rating: 7.2
Bottom Line: OK coffee, sometimes not hot enough. Modest steaming capacity. But its not expensive and the service is great.
