A good starter machine. Easy to use, but there is a learning curve. The unit came ready to use right out of the box, and the crema was good. There are plenty of machines to choose from, but I believe this is a good option, especially for the price.
Negative Product Points
Warrenty repair may be an issue. I hope not. I would feel better if there were more sanctioned repair sites in the U.S.
Detailed Commentary
At first look the Classico seemed to be well built. After two months, I think this was a good first guess. I've used it daily with no glitches to date. There is a learning curve using this machine, but with care, you will be satisfied with the results. The buttons and knobs are firm and seem to be well built. The enclosed video was nice, but could have been done a little better. It was more an advertisement for Saeco. The additional items (knock box, coffee servings and cups) were also a nice touch for a novice. Moving into this arena can be overwhelming and at first glance a little silly. Still, with time, you begin to discover what all the fuss is about, and the Classico is a good first machine to show you. I'm enjoying the whole espresso experience after two months with my Classico. Like so many adventures, you need to cut away the fluff and get to the core. With coffee there really is an acquired taste that the Classico shows you.
