A true benchmark machine, this machine made Rancilio a lot of money since it was introduced in 1998 - it has become the standard against which all other consumer, single boiler machines are measured against. Currently in its 3rd revision.

Bottom Line: You could spend more than $500 (a LOT more, actually), but you'd be nuts to waste your $ on anything else for your home. Get a Silvia!

Bottom Line: This is one Pimp Espresso Machine, easy to use and doesnt seem to have a steep learning curve to get a nice espresso with tons of crema and awesome froth that many reviewers would have you believe. In other words its user friendly even for a 1st machine.

Bottom Line: I like metaphors so here's how I'll summarize this. This machine is not a luxury sedan. It's like a Porsche. It's not comfortable and easy to drive, but once you get the hang of it, you'll find that you can soon be pulling shots like a pro barista.
