A true benchmark machine, this machine made Rancilio a lot of money since it was introduced in 1998 - it has become the standard against which all other consumer, single boiler machines are measured against. Currently in its 3rd revision.

Bottom Line: Seems well-built, but espresso is very disappointing, with nearly zero crema, no matter what I tried. Not worth it, a $100 Krups out-performs it. Good at frothing, but not great. Thumbs down.

Bottom Line: Good machine while it worked, wouldn't risk another one as it is too expensive for such a short life. Going back to Gaggia.

Rating: 5.2
Bottom Line: Poor temperature stability, possibly a defective unit. Importer insists it is OK. If that is true, then this is not a good machine.

Bottom Line: Almost a brilliant machine - but what a major potiential weakness!! Buy it, but haggle hard as it is not quite as indestructable as the glossy brochures would have you believe.

Bottom Line: Obtaining Tolerable espresso wth the poor temp control is possible. Eventually I'll spend more $$ and get a better machine.
