Great starter machine! Though it will take a while to get used to.
Positive Product Points
The Silvia is an amazing machine for the patient person! The construction on the thing is solid, and it take a little to get used to the temperature surfing. Overall the machine is worth the money if you are getting into the espresso phase. Also the steam pressure on this thing right when the light goes off is amazing, but if you let it sit it dies fast.
Negative Product Points
Takes about 2 min to heat to steaming temperature, espresso might get a little chilly. The brew temp is negligible delay, due to getting the shot ready.
Detailed Commentary
Bought mine used off a guy in boulder, CO, it was a very well taken care of machine with very minor cosmetic damage. The thing took me a while to get used to with the correct grind and such, guess the VST baskets are a little tricky though. Overall this is an AMAZING machine for your start into the world of espresso. It has a few drawbacks due to a single boiler with 800w, the steam takes a while to get to temperature. I'm aiming for a Quick Mill Andreja now due to the amazing reviews, and the HX part of the machine.
