Positive Product Points
Beautiful addition to any kitchen. Once you appreciate the tricks about grinding and tamping it produces perfect shots (almost) all of the time.
It is very well built, the stainless steel finish gives it a professional touch. Warm up time is quite short (a few minutes).
Fantastic results when frothing milk.
Negative Product Points
30-60 seconds waiting time for the steam when frothing the milk for cappucino.
The tamper is a bit too small for the portafilter. The single espresso (about 25ml of espresso) portafilter insert does not give a very good result.
Detailed Commentary
I have had a Gaggia Baby with mediocre results (probably mostly due to my own ignorance). It broke down and the espresso project was abandoned for many years. Siliva is quite expensive where I live (about 600U$) and the decision to buy a Silvia and a Rocky grinder (totalling about 850U$) took some time. Now I can only say I regrett that I did not buy them years ago. Considering all awfull coffe I have drunk and considering how it can taste.
