Positive Product Points

The Silvia is 'the bomb', 'the rock', the 'tank' and so many other names defining sweetness in counter-top kitchen couture!

Negative Product Points

One has to but follow the Rancilio trick course outlined by mark prince and others to understand the Silvias few idiosyncratic tendencies.

Detailed Commentary

I signed out, what must be for some, the benchmark of home coffee and kitchen countertop espresso experiences. This could be the machine for me, but I do not know and I cannot speak for everyone. Let us just say that it has all the sweet features and savvy that a home espresso machine should have: that is, brass boiler, group, delivery, and shiny steel accoutrements and touches for the true coffee obsessive. If you are a first timer to the world of Rancilio, make sure you read your manual carefully and talk to the seller for a demo and some tips. This machine has a few quirks but delivers time and time again, great espresso coffee when you treat it right.

Buying Experience

Colin Newell does not buy espresso machines, he is given them!
