Nice machine for the money... a PID controller and a watchful eye are all you need!
Positive Product Points
Solid machine which provides a good quality intro expereince into espresso. Can create good quality espresso with little effort (must have a good grinder of course). Stylish, fits underneath the counter.
Negative Product Points
SMALL drip tray! Watch it or it will overflow onto your counter. Temperature stability could be better - consider putting in a PID if you really get into espresso. Poor steaming
Detailed Commentary
I purchased this espresso machine many years back... at that time the Mazzer / Ms. Silvia was the popular choices. Certainly for the money, it was the best bang for the buck and I have no regrets. It creates a great quality espresso with little challenges as long as have a good grinder. Its very compact and easily fits underneath my counter. Its as stylish as most espresso machines can get, with a very cleanable stainless steel exterior. They have made changes to the drip tray - the whole pattern is a little different on the newer models making it a little cleaner. However, the drip tray is simply TOO SMALL. You really need to watch it or it will overflow onto your counter. I'm not much of a milk steamer - mainly straight espresso or cold drinks - from my limited experiences its not very good at steaming. Certainly nothing like a dual boiler setup.
