A true benchmark machine, this machine made Rancilio a lot of money in the past four years - it has become the standard against which all other consumer, single boiler machines are measured against.
Bottom Line: Excellent machine that produces espresso as good or better than professional cafes, or even pro/expert machines costing much more. Very impressed with Miss Silvia.
Bottom Line: Excellent machine that can produce top quality espresso and very good micro-foam. Recommended as a 2nd machine however, as it takes some time to fine tune.
Bottom Line: A great machine to learn espresso, but not if lattes and cappas are your bag, and not if consistently excellent espresso is your expectation.
Bottom Line: Seems well-built, but espresso is very disappointing, with nearly zero crema, no matter what I tried. Not worth it, a $100 Krups out-performs it. Good at frothing, but not great. Thumbs down.
Bottom Line: This is one Pimp Espresso Machine, easy to use and doesnt seem to have a steep learning curve to get a nice espresso with tons of crema and awesome froth that many reviewers would have you believe. In other words its user friendly even for a 1st machine.
Bottom Line: Wow I'm so glad I bought the Rancilio Silvia because it's making awesome espresso & americano coffees with a gorgous crema right from the get-go.
Bottom Line: If you like using a machine that will force you to develop your barista skills, the Silvia is for you. Be prepared...she's seductive and will have you counting the minutes until the next time you touch her (just don't tell your wife that!).
