Positive Product Points

Ultimately an incredibly simple way to make coffee.

Negative Product Points

You have to pay infinite attention to everything. It's really a 1 or 2 shot machine. The boiler is too small.

Detailed Commentary

I've been at it with this machine for over 3 years and am just beginning to have some success with it. When you get everything right the espresso is fabulous. It doesn't happen often. It's finicky, quite difficult to get the temperature right, just as difficult to get the presssure right. It's too light and you have to hold it down with the left hand while you lift the lever to open the piston chamber. I own the Zabars Carina version with a plastic base, which is beginning to corrode. Definitely get the metal base for a few more bucks. I paid $220 quite a few years back.
