When the crema and froth enhancer gadgets are removed, this is a workable basic espresso machine. Thermoblock design doesn‘t get the water quite hot enough and the pump is a little underpowered for serious use. The steam wand is very nice, however, with plenty of dry steam available. If you want a very nice looking unit for your kitchen that is easy to use for the occasional drink for guests, the Novo 2000 is fine. If you want to make great home espresso consistently you should consider a better machine with a boiler. List price $200, available refurbished for half that.
