Positive Product Points

Easy enough to use

Negative Product Points

Should be called Kraps.  Has turned itself on and off by itself.  Machine also shut itself off when the filter holder was installed.  It leaks.  Sometimes the pump buzzes, other times it is really quiet.  With two cups selected output should be 4 oz, but I only get three at the most.  Pressure stays built up so trying to make a second cup results in a real mess.  Takes forever to steam up 8 oz of milk for a latte.

Detailed Commentary

I paid US$200.00 for this piece of Kraps.  Results are very inconsistant even though I follow the directions religiously.  Part of this may be due to the pc board, which was found to be faulty.  But other negatives seem to be inherent in the product, such as a cup warmer that really doesn't get very warm.  Also, steaming eight oz of milk took almost four minutes...way longer than it should have.  There also should be some way to bleed off pressure so that removing the filter holder doesn't result in splattering when trying to prepare two cups back to back.  The machine was easy enough to use.  By improving reliability and increasing steam output this could be a decent low-end machine.

Three Month Followup

I took the machine in for warranty work which was never completed due to lack of parts.  I first dealt with the 800 number and then corporate hq in NJ.  After five months they finally refunded my purchase price.  Lesson learned!
