For the on the go person this is a care free machine, (with more time on your hands get a Silvia.)
Positive Product Points
For the working person with little time, and a need for great espresso with no cleanup and only a 5 min wait for warm up, this is the ticket. Roasting your own beans will have even better results.
Negative Product Points
The main electrical board inside the housing tends to go bad in some cases, like mine after about a year. 1st line did save the board with a repair, this saved me 250.00 for a new board, not to mention shipping and labor to fix it.
Detailed Commentary
The Gaggia Synchrony is great looking in the kitchen, unless you have limited counter space. The instruction booklet is sometimes hard to understand, and must be read more than once to interpret. Cleaning is intimidateing at first, but gets easier with time. You will love this machine when you get to know it by programming to your coffee or espresso taste, it just takes a little time. If in time your machine starts acting up and not warming up as soon as it used to, or the machine jumps into self testing too often, that is an indication your main electrical board is going bad. at 1st-Line they have used boards for a lot less than a new one (if in stock)......soooo get it fixed if you love the Synchrony like I do.
Buying Experience
1st-Line is a great company for tec support and buying, at least in my case. This company will work with you by phone or email.
