Negative Product Points
With Illy beans the Gaggia compact makes lousy espresso and crema. WLL support is bad and unsupportive when the machine is defective.
Detailed Commentary
Takes 9.5min to make a double crema from Illy beans with a grind setting of 3 or 4. With a grind setting of 6 it takes 3 min to make a double crema from Illy beans and the taste is very watery. Maybe I got a defective machine, but WLL support would not admit it was defective or offer any suggestions other than to "be happy" with watery cremas. I returned it to WLL and will probably be nicked for their 20% restocking fee for a defective machine since they claim my return is "Buyers Remorse" and not defective machine...ouch. I also bought their Jav Joe's Espresso deluxe beans..yuk.the Gaggia brewed a very very bitter espresso. Even though WLL support recomended the Java Joe beans they had no idea why the Gaggia made such bitter espresso with the Java Joe beans.? Some support!

The Buying experience from Whole Latte Love was good and efficient. However, BEWARE, if you purchase a lemon or defective machine from them, then your support and return experience will not be good!
