Bottom Line: Unless you have lots of money and a total need for perfection, this machine should be acceptable.
Positive Product Points

Sturdy, quality parts for a mid-range home machine.  Quality of espresso is high with some tweaking.

Negative Product Points

Steam output is not nearly as high as I like.  Took off the frother, but still not satisfied with steam.  Has a tenency to leak after pulling a shot.

Detailed Commentary

I bought this machine new at a closeout store (Big Lots) for $99.00.  I was very happy with the price.  Refurbs are running at that price now.  I took out the crema enhancing rubber disk and was able to produce much better shots.  Crema is thick and bronze colored, and the espresso is very tasty.  With practice, great shots can be obtained.  Black plastic case makes it look like a home unit.  Better machines can be purchased, but for most home users, this machine is head and shoulders above what you can buy at department stores and most specialty shops.
