A machine full of water should be rustproof -- stay away.
Positive Product Points
Good espresso for the money, nice foam once you ditch the helper attachment and learn to use the plain tip.
Negative Product Points
It rusted like an old tin can, the plastic portafilter handle is not very robust (but easy to replace), and I cannot fully close steam knob.
Detailed Commentary
First machine was DOA. Second worked fine, but unfortunately began to rust about 6 months after purchase and now is like a rusty tin can. The rust started on the upper inside of the shell where the removable water reservoir sits. I called WLL about it and was given a number to call for Gaggia repair. The guy there said it was a known problem with the machine and Gaggia wouldn't do anything about it. A year and a half later, with the rust worsening dramatically and spreading to the entire chamber in which the water reservoir sits and dropping rust into the reservoir, I tried again and this time the guy told me they'd never heard of this problem with a Classic Coffee before. I'd definitely steer clear of this machine for this reason.
Buying Experience
WLL was nice to deal with, but I'd never buy another Gaggia espresso machine (I'm quite happy with their MDF grinder for the price).
