All in all i am glad that i choose an X1 when i made my choice 3 years back. It has been a beautiful and taste full experience!
Positive Product Points
Good looks, high quality product
Negative Product Points
Looses heat quickly, the filter holders nozzels make the coffee "bubble" out instead of "ooze". A bit expensive.
Detailed Commentary
I have had this machine for quite a while now and though there are definitly more professional machines on the market i have grown to like my X1.
As with many X1 owners i am a design freak. I still think, after all the years i have owned the machine, that no other manufacturer have produced a machine that has as good looks. I still am proud to have the X1 on my kitchen counter.
When it comes to brewing espresso it is with the X1 as with any other espresso machine you buy. You have to get to know your machine before you get the perfect cup. And you can get a perfect cup from the X1 if you have the right coffee, the right grind and the right touch. One thing that might irritate you is the nozzle which has a tendency to make the coffee bubble. This does not affect the quality of the coffee but the crema can get "bubbly".
I have had my X1 for over 3 years and i have not had any problems with it. It has allways looked as a robust, high quality product and so far it has lived up to that impression.
Well would i buy it again? My passion for espresso has grown with the years and i would probably go for a bit more "professional" machine if i bought one today.
