Bottom Line: This machine was designed for use with pods!! The absolute best design!!
Positive Product Points

Design is great and with EES pods this machine is very consistent, so sacrifice espresso nirvana for simple heaven on a regular basis. So the question is - do you want mind blowing sex once every six months or pretty excellent sex once a day?

Negative Product Points

Steamer wand is not designed great. Need a small steamer pitcher.

Detailed Commentary

In an attempt to simplify my life I sold all my other espresso machines and Rocky Grinder on Ebay - and then was left with what I wanted to replace my myriad machines with. The immediate idea was a super automatic maybe a capresso 3000, but given my philosophy almost 2000 grand on a machine was not feasible. So then I decided on a EES machine (Easy Espresso Servings) and here is where the Francis shines, with Illy pods, delivered straight to your home every month, this machines makes extremely consistent espresso, and I do mean consistent. With freshly ground coffee however it does not do as good of a job - so if you want consistency and are willing to sacrifice espresso nirvana for simple heaven then Francis with EES is the way to go.So the question is - do you want mind blowing sex once every six months or pretty excellent sex once a day?

Buying Experience

A little expensive I bought mind vis IllyUSA program pay 375 upfront and 50 dollars a month for 90 EES pods, plus i got four Illy cups and saucers, and ily sugar tsicks

Three Month Followup

The machine is still going strong and making absolutely consistent espresso and great Cappa with the PODS I would not recommend this machine with ground coffee - however i think it is great for use with pods, and after 10 years of grinding and tamping with 90% of the time something being off, 5% of the time puling a nirvana shot, and the other 5% being great, having the oppsoite true is great 90% great shots - it is worth it. simple, pretty, consistent.
