Location & Size of Water Tank "High Maintenance" Machine
Detailed Commentary
This is a great machine - but making a great latte on it requires attention and involvement from the operator. It's not for the Espresso Novice. Other espresso machines I've owned have allowed the operator to press a button, walk away, come back later after the machine has heated and make lattes. With the Espressione, you really have to wait in front of it to start the espresso shot at the correct temperature, otherwise it'll burn the shot. It took me about three tries before I made a really good latte (and as I bought it on Craigslist, I didn't have a manual), but every shot has turned out well since. The crema is excellent, provided the shot is drawn at the right temperature, and the froth is so amazing that I was actually able to whip up great foam on rice milk, which I find even commercial espresso stands have trouble with.
