I would not buy another nor recommend this as a viable option for a home espresso machine
Positive Product Points
Gives opportunity for a home espresso maker and a drip coffee pot - saves space.
Negative Product Points
Can not do basic cleaning and maintenance, can not remove the protafilter head to clean or replace rings. The machine has to be shipped to NJ for repairs, cleaning. Steam wand is not flexible, the head is not efficient for steaming milk, replacement heads are unavailable.
Detailed Commentary
Good for the first year, after realizing deficiencies I have remained very frustrated over the last several years. Difficult to make these assessments by looking at product descriptions and pictures online. It would also be nice to have a repair dealer closer than NJ, and lose my coffee machined for weeks at a time. A nearly $400 investment, not easy to just scrap it and get something else.
The multipro I have does not look like the models i see online any more, maybe these issues are resolved - but I suspect not. Will probably not buy a Briel again.
