Have had this machine for over a year, and had been quite happy with it. Then the heater stopped working. With the warranty expired, I took the machine apart and found one of the fast-on connectors to the heating element had worked its way loose; not a good thing, as this caused arcing across the loose connection, and burned out both the wiring crimp connector and the heating element connector. Probably not a real fire hazard, but won't rule that out completely. If your machine is no longer heating the water, then you may have a similar problem.
