Positive Product Points

Great looking machine and easy to use once you get a handle on things.
Built like a tank for the price.
Makes a good froth but takes a little time.

Negative Product Points

Wastes a little too much water.
Water tank reservoir should have been a little larger.
The pressurized filter basket is just all wrong (see below)

Detailed Commentary

I bought this machine based on looks, a few recommendations and its relatively good price point.  Initially, I wasn't a happy camper for a few reasons, but with a little research and patience things improved dramatically in a matter of a week. First off, the pressurized filter basket needs to go. I replaced it with a "Krups 2-cup metal filter cup (models 880 & 887), ordered from Authorized Appliance. At the same time, I purchased the Breville Conical Burr Grinder for $80.00 on sale. The improvements in my shots were instantaneous. Finally, like most machines, you just have to experiment with different types of coffee beans; some brands are just better than others.

The machine is very easy to clean and has worked like a charm for nearly 3 months.

Finally, it produces a quality froth but takes a little more time than some machines ... at least the steam wand is first rate.

Buying Experience

Purchased at a kitchen supply store in Montreal and was given good information before I committed.
