The descaling procedure in the manual reads like it was written by a drunken sailor. It makes absolutely no sense.
Detailed Commentary
slick design and relatively quick steaming wand. Pulls a good stiff shot as long as the grind is not too fine. I use a Starbucks grinder, and the Bodum could not handle the finer settings on the grinder. the machine is well designed and easy to use. I have no major complaints other than the descaling instructions in the manual. The latter need to be completely re-done. Between my girlfriend and myself, we were spending close to $15/day on Starbucks, and the bodum purchased has paid for itself multiple times over. Great on weekend mornings to sit back at home and have a latte rather than having to truck off to the local coffee house.
Buying Experience
initial machine shipped had a severed electrical cord for some reason. Expresso Zone was great about paying for the return shipping and quick replcement of a new machine.
