This is a great machine. If you believe that good tools are worth the money, this is a machine for you.
Positive Product Points
Its height allows it to fit on the countertop, under a standard kitchen cabinet. When placed on a heavy duty Aluminum cookie tray, it is easy to slide to the front of the counter for use or to the wall when not in use. Other machines that interested me (Rancilio S-24, Minigrimac) were too tall. Well-built, performs well for both espresso and steam. Surprisingly good looking; especially when compared to pictures (such as on the Espresso Parts NW website). It's easy to get inside the machine to tinker.
Negative Product Points
It would be nice if the vibratory pump model had a larger water reservoir.
Detailed Commentary
I cannot imagine needing another machine unless somebody can convince me that a rotary pump machine is worth $500 more. It is capable of first rate espresso and steamed milk, looks pretty darn good, and is built to last. It is easy to get inside the machine, and those who are mechanically adept should be able to do most of their own maintenance. The value for money is excellent. I was not able to find another machine with the same features (including 2 porta filter handles) for close to the price of $999.
