Awesome machine. I have had a few manual machines. I know how to grind, tamp and make good espresso. This machine makes as good as I ever made with a manual machine. Maintenance is easy. All the programming options are easy to understand if you RTFM.

Detailed Commentary
Originally I got a refurbished Royal Professional from ebay from Dealmonger. Original machine worked two weeks and blew a steam gasket. It was covered by 6 months warranty so I sent it for repair. The said 4-6 weeks but returned it in 1 week. After two days it blew another gasket. To their credit they send an advance replacement from stock. What arrived was a Royal Professional Digital, even nicer. It’s been running perfectly for a week now. Saeco really came through. My next machine will be a Saeco.
Buying Experience
Bought from off eBay from Dealmonger. They had issues processing my payment and with shipping. We had a volley of email for about 3 days. Once shipped it arrived rather fast. When got it I discovered it had been made in 2001. I knew it was refurbished but I did not think it would be 7 years old.
Three Month Followup
Read one year. After a year and a half working great.
One Year Followup
A year and a half later it still works great. Steam and cappuccino maker lost steam. Descaled machine, should have done it a long time ago. This made i work like it was new.
