Detailed Commentary

After years of frustration with home consumer espresso machines, this gift was a welcome relief.  A  product that consistantly produces a quality, superior result.  Anyone can figure this machine
out.   The trick (and some would say the enjoyment) comes in perfecting your technique.  With a little practice, you can rely on a wonderful shot.
Some drawbacks include the low water reserve, and (on my model) no sort of presure indicator other than a light that goes off when proper temp is achieved.  In the picture they seem to have fixed that.
When less than 1/3 full the machine is light enough to lift off the counter when you lift the lever to draw steam into the group head.  Otherwise the machine is very sturdy and appears built to give many years of good service.

All in all this machine is great for a serious espresso fan who does not need a whole lot of bells and whistles.  This is a quality machine that could serve a low impact professional need  or provide years of home enjoyment.

For making more than one at a time (large meeting or large family) consider a seperate steam machine to improve recycle time.

This machine is not designed to be plumbed into a water line.
