Detailed Commentary
I spent a considerable time looking for an espresso machine for my office. I considered the usual Hx machines from Isomac and ECM, the dual boiler Reneka, and many other machines.
The dual boiler, digital temperature control, huge steaming capacity and Chris at Chris Coffee were the reasons I went for the La Spaziale S1. All this for a special discount price and a deal on a Mini Mazzer was a deal I couldn't pass up.
The machine is very well constructed and easy to use. Feels like it will last a lifetime with decent care. The quality of the espressos are excellent and better than a well setup La Marzocco I had a chance to play with some time ago. (Blasphemy, I know) This machine makes exceptional espresso and does it shot after shot. The only change I make to alter the flavor is to change the grind on the Mini Mazzer.
I recently had several guests come and I made quite a few cappuccinos for them. The S-1 performed beautifully, steaming milk and pulling shots simultaneously. (I got the 20amp version)
I'm very satisfied with this machine. It has exceeded all my expectations.
