Top quality machine as you would expect at this price point. Wow factor is impressive. Bottom line is it makes incredible coffee....but you need to know your stuff to be able to get the most out of it.

Drip tray is a bit fiddly!
I was originally in the market for a much cheaper double boiler machine but kept looking at the gs3 and for ways to justify spending a small fortune on a coffee machine! I bit the bullet and purchased from CCS. Great purchasing experience with them. The gs3 was ready to go an hr or so after delivery... Set up was easy as CCS had already set everything up well. My biggest issue as a novice was getting my grind and tamp settings down....after a weekend I was getting very good and consistent results. A few months down the line ....I can only say this is a fantastic machine...once you get to a reasonable skill level...results are very consistent. I've now started roasting my own beans and I think this is where the gs3 really shines. I think it reveals the taste profiles of different beans very well and I feel as though I'm still just learning. This is certainly not a machine for someone who just wants to make coffee and not think too much about it. There are many machines a third of the price that will do that just fine. However if you want to really learn about coffee and are into roasting, the gs3 is a great tool and may justify the investment. In summary, if coffee is a hobby and you have real interest in developing your Batista skills and knowledge...the gs3 is hard to fault. If you just want to make nice coffee...there are many machines at a fraction of the price that will more than deliver.
Great service from Chris coffee. Machine arrived in Houston from NY in 4 days despite snow storms in the NE. Machine was on a pallet and very well protected. I also got a significant discount vs published price.
