A perfect buy! and I guess the following models are even better
Positive Product Points
Solid, durable, industrial size of parts no "Dinky Toy" Good size of boiler and its heating capacity. Simple design and easy maintace.
Negative Product Points
Vibration pump, but I guess its a normal drawback.
Detailed Commentary
I bought this used M30 Bistro make 1991 from a Coffeebar, it was almost totally clogged and poorly maintained.
So I took it apart, overhauled the boiler, group head, piping. There was tons of limestone in the boiler and old coffee in the group head. This took about 2 weeks to clean using citric acid and some force. Then I put in new gaskets, filters and fired her up, she works like a charm.
She has "swiveling" steam wand and tea tap, flow meter for the Auto functions, water pressure regulator and Ulka vibrator pump, the only drawback. I guess an new pump might lower the noise, then I would give her 10 out of 10 ;)
It takes 10 min to warm her up, the simple HX system makes her quick and "stable" so she delivers quality. I mostly use the manual operation but the programmable "Auto" functions is nice to have when I serve many friends after a dinner or so.
I find it easy to switch from different coffee beans when I dont have to worry about the performance of the machine
Buying Experience
Cheap spare parts, industrial components makes it a good machine even though she is 15yrs old today, turning sweet 16 :D
