reservoir could be larger, had to replace steam boiler insulation due to manufacturing defect.  Was not a difficult task.  Do not get the handle rivets in the reservoir wet as they will rust.

The Izzo Alex Duetto II makes good consistent coffee with little effort.  It is easy to maintain and a solid performer.  It is a very quit machine.  I like the rapid steam when milk based drinks are desired.  I can crank out milk based drinks every 45 seconds, which is a big turn around from a Miss Silvia.  Most of my espresso shots are from Three Beans Coffee, Harville House, Espresso # 9 blend, which has a fruity start but a chocolatey buttery finish and copious amounts of rusty creama lasting to the bottom of the cup.  The IAD2 keeps the shots right at 200 F, I use a Mazzer Mini
e type A.  I use an Espro convex tamper for consistency every third shot.  The IAD2 pulls 2 oz of espresso in 27 seconds.  Mmmmhhmm that is some tasty good stuff, each and every time.

I will not discuss the importance of good water as any coffee maker worth their salt knows this.

I run it at the 15 Amp mode and usually only turn the steam boiler on once or twice a week for those that like capos/ cafe' a leit.  I am mostly all about the espresso; 4-6 doubles per day.  

The IAD2 cleans easily and regular weekly water back flushing keeps the brew head clean.  I brush and sponge the gasket every third shot and pull one ounce water after every shot.  

I would give one important tip: do not get the handle rivets in the reservoir wet as they will rust.
