This is a dream espresso machine backed by a legend in business.
Positive Product Points
-Double Boiler ( Both boilers can be independently turned off) -Rotary Pump -Temperature Stability (PID + E61 Group) -Powerful Steamer -No pressurestat - 15A and 20A -Plumb in ready ( it includes all the accessories) -Peace of mind ( Chris Coffee has the best customer service in business)
Negative Product Points
- The water reservoir is way smaller than the one that comes with the Expobar's Brewtus III...... - I think that Izzo can reduce the overall size of this machine a bit. Shorter chromed legs for all of those who are going to be using the water reservoir??
First I had a Silvia, then a Brewtus III which worked great, however, the turning issue was with Whole Lotta Love Customer Service department. In the beginning ( during the 30 days money back warranty) Whole Lotta Love returned calls, emails, afterwards, they just wanted me to ship them the 60 pound beast , then wait several weeks due to the high volume of machines, and obviously pay them for the service......
Finally I just got tired of their lame customer service and moved to Chris Coffee and the wonderful Alex Duetto which is also a double boiler E61 machine .
Since I opened the box I knew how careful is Chris Coffee packaging these machines. The very detailed manuals ( thet wrote them!!), the steaming milk printed instructions+ a video of Chris himself steaming and pouring latte art.......
For all of those who wonder what are the main differences between the Alex Duetto and the Brewtus III :
-More powerful Steam -Both boilers can be independently turned off -No pressurestat ( since the PID controls both boilers) -Much better heat isolation -Rotary Pump ( it also works on water from reservoir mode) -Water from reservoir to plumb in with a flick of a switch.
And last but not least I just want to insist about the importance in dealing with a company that goes beyond the imaginable customer service wise. You have an issue, you email them, and soon that you think you get a reply, sometimes from Chris himsellf!!! . You call them and you have the choice to speak with the technical department agents directly without having to deal with a customer rep. that just read a FAQ on a database to be able to help a customer. Keep in mind that the last thing you want to do with a machine of this class is to ship it back for service.
I really hope this one is going to be my last espresso machine.
Awesome. Excellent communication. When I ordered it I had to travel for a month, so I asked them to hold it for me until an specific date and they did.
