Bottom Line: Thor's tampers are perfect, strong and beautiful and so reasonable.
Positive Product Points

Custom made from my single basket, fits like a dream. It has a nice weight to it. It is made of beautiful Myrtelwood from Oregon and the bottom is hard wood.

Negative Product Points

I have nothing negative to say about this tamper

Detailed Commentary

The tamper that came with my Olympia Cremina is a cheap plastic one, hard to hold onto and doesn't feel reliably strong when pressed on. Why such a great machine came with such a cheap tamper is beyond me. I serached the net and found Thor Tampers. I needed a size that is not manufactured by most companies, but Thor can custom make ones for you. I wanted this to fit perfectly, so he had me send him my single basket and a few weeks later I had a beautiful tamper. It really makes a difference. It has a nice weight to it and it very strong. It will last forever. Right now I have a tiny kitchen and have to move everything around each morning to make coffee, to the tamper is in a drawer, but as soon as a new location with room is achieved, it will be out right by the espresso machine. It is just so great, and gives me joy.

Buying Experience

Thor is communicative and prompt. He makes a superior product and truely cares about each tamper he makes. His product is very reasonable for the incredible product he makes.
