Cheaply made roaster, inferior materials and ZERO customer service from manufacturer

Negative Product Points
ZERO customer service from Hearthware cheaply made very loud, sounds like a jet engine
Detailed Commentary
This roaster lasted just a couple weeks longer than the warranty (1 year). Contacted Hearthware, and was told that there are no parts available for repair, no units available for replacement, and since it was past the warranty I was on my own. Parts and complete units have been unavailable for more than 6 months now, and they do not know when they will be available. I will not buy another Hearthware product. Pretty sad customer service!
WHen the roaster worked, it roasted the beans uniformly and really worked nicely. Found a lot of difference in roasting times needed based on changes in ambient temp, but I am not blaming the roaster for that.
Buying Experience
Purchased the roaster and all of my green beans from BurmanCoffee.com. Will continue to buy from them as they have great prices.
Three Month Followup
Bought a Behmore 1600 and couldn't be more satisfied. So glad that repair/parts were not available for the i-roast.
One Year Followup
Still MORE than happy with the Behmore! I kind of ruined the roasting drum latch by running it without the door being latched. Got a hold of Mr. Behmore and he got one to me in the mail right away. Now THAT is superior customer service, and even more of a reason to buy one. Don't even consider a I-Roast if you want a workable machine! Go get yourself a Behmore
