Bottom Line: Great roaster, great tasting coffee. Just a bit noisy tho.
Positive Product Points

Great roasts from this inexpensive roaster. Very consistent and even roasts. Decent capacity for a two person household.

Negative Product Points

Noisy, difficult to hear 2nd crack.

Detailed Commentary

I bought this from Sweet Marias over a year ago. Never roasted before but this roaster made learning easy and fun. My very first roast was too light but every roast since then has been great.

I usually roast 2 batches one after the other with a 5 min rest between. So far the roaster has been totally reliable.

Chaff collector works great.

I recently bought a Fresh Roast Plus and the roasts from the HW Gourmet are fuller flavored, and much more consistent.

The only negative about the HW Gourmet is the noise. You can hear the first cracks ok but it is very hard to hear the 2nd cracks.

Buying Experience

From Sweet Maria's. Exemplary service.
