Positive Product Points

Massive ceramic, perfect ergonomic design.

Negative Product Points

Well, possibly “cost“ if you buy the way cool and collectible “Illy Art Cups.”

Detailed Commentary

These 3 ounce demitasse could not possibly be improved. My favorite features are the disk-shaped handle and the way the saucers stack up. the saucer does not interfere in any way with getting your fingers on the handle.
The same design comes in a larger cappuccino cup.
I believe Ginori is an Italian ceramics factory that makes many different cup designs. They also do most of the logo cups for Italy’s espresso machine makers and espresso roasters.
Illy has issued collector series in this demitasse design for many years. You see them for major bucks on eBay. I have the 1993 series, known also as the “Ear Series” because one of them has a handle shaped like a human ear. Creepy but cool.
