Bottom Line: The My Weigh 6001T Scale is excellent value for the money and has a broader range than most digital kitchen scales available for the price.
Positive Product Points

Large well labeled buttons make the unit easy to use and the large LCD dispay is easy read.

Negative Product Points

The neon blue plastic housing detracts from the look of the unit.  The unit would also do well to have an easier calibration procedure.

Detailed Commentary

After a lot of searching, I found a most useful home scale.  It is the My Weigh 6001T Scale.  It is a 13 lb/6kg Multi-Purpose Digital Scale that displays weights in pounds, ounces, kilograms, and grams.  It has a usable range of up to 6 kg, in 1-gram increments (13 lbs in 0.1 oz increments).
The My Weigh 6001T has a "hold" and "tare" functions that makes it even more useful in the kitchen.  The unit is enclosed in a neon blue (I did not buy it for its looks) plastic case and comes with a 6" by 6" platform.  It uses a 9-volt battery and is equipped with rubber feet to protect surfaces.

Buying Experience

I had an excellent experience with Precision Weighing Balances.  They were fast and delivered as promised.
