Look elsewere if you want greater control and darker roasts
Positive Product Points
Pretty easy to use. Doesn't smoke, but also doesn't roast dark.
Negative Product Points
There isn't actual temps correlated to the Roast profile, only a line graft. I can only get medium roast at my home I took the unit to a restarant to ensure I had adequate power supply and it made no difference. I was told by Behmor to roast 1/2 lb on the one pound setting. While I argued this defeated the purpose of a one pound capicity, it made no difference anyway in the roast color.
Detailed Commentary
I'm not blown away with anything that works just on electric and I'm guessing I'll have to bite the bullet and go with a small topper or Ambex. While the model and the support staff tried to be as helpfuleven going so far as sending a replacement unit, it never solved my problems. I've been roasting for 3 years now, and had only used fluid bed roaster in which I had great results with. This is a drum unit which gived the impression of a larger commercial unit, but the electric lamps for a heat source seems inadaquite.
