Bottom Line: I will probably toss this machine as it appears it cannot be fixed without a huge shipping cost. I would not buy it again.
Positive Product Points

This is the 2nd Oscar I have owned. The first one I had for about 10 years and it was fine.

Negative Product Points

I  had my previous Oscar serviced by someone who came to the house as there was no one else who could service it. This is an expensive way to get a machine repaired. It appears I cannot get this newer machine serviced locally.

Detailed Commentary

I owned this newer machine for 2 years and despite regular maintenance, it died. First it started brewing bad tasting espresso. The water was fresh. Now it does not pull water at all for brewing or for steam. The red light is on but nothing happens when the brew button is pushed or the steam wand is open.  I called the manufacturer and it is out of warranty so they gave me a number where it could be fixed. It is not a working number and company appears to be out of business. Called again to the manufacturer asking for another referral if they had one  and they have not returned my call.

Buying Experience

Seattle Coffee Works.. no problems noted
