Positive Product Points

It made good espresso for so inexpensive a machine.

Negative Product Points

Steaming was a laugh. Eventually it was the boiler that fell apart.

Detailed Commentary

We used the machine at a mountain cabin on summer weekends. For the price it made good coffee, not like the Gaggia Classic at home or even the Starbucks Barista that preceded that, but no complaints. There's no grinder at the cabin, we grind coffee at home and take it with us. The third spring I took out the Delonghi EC-155 machine to check it and it started leaking water on the counter. Water was dribbling from everyplace, even the knob opening. I found the problem: a leaky fitting where the pump line enters the boiler. When I turned that outward with a wrench, it fell off and I heard a piece fall inside the boiler. The brass fitting was completely corroded inside. Water from that leak was collecting around the flange of the boiler, then overflowing everywhere. The whole machine went in the trash at that point. I'm not inclined to buy another because of the poor steaming. Looking instead at non-espresso or manual machine options for that location.

Buying Experience

Bought at a big-box retailer like Target, not sure which one.
