The Capresso CoffeeTEC sells for just a shade under $225, and is available without sales tax and shipping included at that price. If you want a package including a grinder and / or coffee, give the vendor a call.

You know, I love gizmos. I love 'em. Sometimes, I can't resist them.

It is with this in mind that I was very happy to accept one of the most gizmo-laden coffee brewers you can find on the market today: the Capresso CoffeeTEC coffee brewer. This brewer is a swiss army knife of coffee brewers. It brews. It heats. It froths. It times. It filters. It dices. It slices... okay, it doesn't do those last two things. I would need a grinder to do that.

It sure is cool looking though.

For this First Look, we'll be taking just a quick looksee at the product, brewing a few pots, investigating the tubes, supplies, filters, you name it that comes with the product, and I'll tell you some of my thoughts after putting about a pound or two of coffee through it.

As always, I need to stress, this is not a Detailed Review - that's coming. This is a First Look. Anything and everything may change by the time the full review comes about. Keep that in mind when reading this commentary.
