I'm thinking of ordering from Bodhileaf. The prices are great and there's a nice selection but it's hard to judge the coffees as the descriptions are limited.
I'd rather spend $7-$8 / lb for really good beans than $6 for good beans but then again, I'd rather spend $6/bean for really good beans than $7-$8 for same.

Any thoughts?

I think your best bet is to call and take to Steve and let him help you find the beans you're looking for. Everything I've gotten from them so far has been very good (the natural Brazil Sao Francisco i've been using as a base for my blend is very, very nice), but if you've got questions, from what I've heard, Steve is very forthcoming with home roasters looking for more info.

Hi Barry,

I have purchased Bodhileaf green coffee  a number of times. The first time I purchased from them directly. I called their number and actually got Steve (the owner) on the freeway. He was pleasant and took my order over the phone. Shipping was a bit more than I wanted to pay, so I buy off their EBAY site. His products are as fresh as they can get. He only sells current crop, and his descriptions on the EBAY site are more than sufficient. He has buy now buttons and bid  buttons on his products. It's not that easy to be the winning bid, but if you buy now, the shipping is still free.

You will be happy with their products. Sweet Maria's is too expensive and you will have to pay shipping with their products no matter what.
