It's great to have choices, isn't it? I'm biased, but my favorite coffee bar in LA is Profeta Espresso (Vivace beans) in Westwood, where the espresso is consistently sublime. Have fun trying all the great LA coffee shops...

I really enjoy the local mailorder roasters in CA/LA as well. Tonx, etc. I'm lucky to live in a city where even the average person is interested in trying different roasters.

I haven't heard of Tonx (?), but see they're a subscription service.  I've always liked the idea of getting coffee without having to order it each time. How do you like it?

Any new shops of interest around town? The San Fernando Valley seems to be devoid of any great coffee shops.

It seems new places are popping up everywhere...
