Hey there, my name's Donny Morrison. I was the night barista for a short time at steampunk cafe. I won't get into the owners knowledge of coffee, but I will say, the ram a super jolly for there espresso, and a mini for the decaf.
Funny that both Steampunk and De Cafe Barista's come up in the same forum topic because I left steampunk to come on board and help open De Cafe Baristas here in monterey park. I am the lead barista here now.
We are yes, proudly serving Herkimer as our espresso, and trust me when I say this, I have been pulling espresso for many years, and we absolutely do pull it right here. You will reminisce the days of a great bold and nutty traditional espresso as you sip these. We opted out of using the Black Cat because of the price point offered by Intelli, and what unfortunately was a slight lack of consistency.
We are also very happy to be offering Four Barrel as well for a large selection of our pour overs, side by side with Herkimer. We offer, pour over, as well as siphon option, and for those that are still stuck on it, the Clever.
Please swings by our shop and check us out. I promise you that you will not be disappointed. There is now, a fill in the espresso void in Monterey Park. :-)
